Ron of the mill

RonaldoWe're in the news, and I don't mean an un-trailed page on local Teletext. It seems that two months on from apparently being exhausted and less than a month from competing with the World's elite, the finest players on the planet are now out of match practice. Such a fine line. Who knew?

With games running out before the start of the season, it seems that Alex Ferguson could well be bringing down the buck toothed Portuguese show pony Ronaldo down to the Kassam for a kick about next week.

This would be his first appearance in England since the wink-gate quarter final where he cajoled the referee into sending off Wayne Rooney. The Sun are claiming that 6,500 tickets have been sold and that there are 'fears' that the rest could be snapped up by England fans (sorry?) baying for Ronaldo's blood.

As a result extra security is being put on before the 'showdown'.
